Terms & Conditions of Booking

All bookings are subject to the Terms and Conditions set out below. Please ensure you read and agree to these terms prior to booking with us as they form part of the contract you make with us upon booking. Thank you.

A deposit payment will be required at the time of your booking direct via our website or over the telephone. This will be made via the secure server for online bookings or by authorising a payment to be taken from a credit/debit card provided for telephone/email bookings. Cheques are accepted as a deposit if stays commence no earlier than 14 days following receipt of deposit cheque. If no deposit is received a booking will not be made and/or any provisional booking will be terminated.

Minimum deposit required: 50% of accommodation charge. 

Once a booking has been made and a deposit processed/received, a booking confirmation will be sent, either directly from our online booking system or by post.

Balances payments must be paid within the 14 days prior to arrival, or on the day of arrival by GBP Cash or by Debit or Credit Card.  Please note that we do not accept any cheques for payment of balances, nor do we accept any Cash Currency other than GBP as means of payment.


Please note that deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. 

If you cancel your booking less than 14 days prior to arrival, a charge will be made equal to the full amount of your booking.  


Full payment of the balance due will be applicable if your stay is curtailed for any reason. We therefore strongly advise that you take out a full, comprehensive travel insurance policy which will cover curtailment for any unforeseen circumstances.

No Show

You are liable for the full amount of your booking if you do not arrive to check in to your accommodation.  Your credit or debit card will be charged for the full amount of your stay.  If you paid your deposit by other means, an invoice will be issued to you, which must be paid in full within 7 days.

Check in & Check Out

Check in is from 2pm to 6pm. A provisional arrival time will be arranged with us upon booking. Please notify us if you are likely to be later than your pre-arranged arrival time.  Rooms are to be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure.


Wyvern House has a strict No Smoking policy. You are welcome to smoke in the front garden of Wyvern House where a sand filled pot is placed for your convenience.


We welcome couples, lone travellers and family groups with children aged 14 and over.  We are unfortunately unable to accommodate children under the age of 14. Maximum occupancy per room is 2 people. 

Due to the relaxing atmosphere we have created at Wyvern, we are also unable to accommodate Hen, Stag, or groups of same-sex parties.

Car Parking

There is unrestricted car parking along Downs View. Cars are parked at owners risk and we will not be held responsible for any loss of damage to vehicles or their contents during your stay.
