Terms & Conditions of Booking

All bookings made are subject to the Terms and Conditions set out below. Please ensure you read and agree to these terms prior to booking with us as they form part of the contract you make with us upon booking. Accepting these terms also mean that you have read and accepted our Covid-19 Protocol that we have in place here at Wyvern House.  You can find this at https://wyvernhouse.co.uk/covid-19-protocol.

Booking and Deposits

All bookings are subject to the following terms; 

A deposit payment will be required at the time of your booking direct via our website or over the telephone. This will be made via the secure server for online bookings or by authorising a payment to be taken from a credit/debit card provided for telephone/email bookings. Cheques are not accepted.

Deposit required: 30% of accommodation charge or minimum 1st night charge, whichever is greater.  Please note that deposits are non-refundable in any event.

Once a booking has been made and a deposit processed/received, a booking confirmation will be sent, either directly from our online booking system or by post.

Balance payments must be paid within the 7 days prior to arrival.  If your stay has been booked via another online booking provider your card will be charged for the balance due.  If booked direct with ourselves, an email will be sent to you, with a payment link to make payment 7 days prior to your arrival. 

Please note that we do not accept any cheques for payment of balances, nor do we accept any Cash Currency other than GBP as means of payment.

Cancellation and Amendments

You may cancel your booking with only loss of deposit if you cancel more than 7 days prior to arrival.  All Deposits are non-refundable.  If you wish to amend the dates of your stay,  it may be possible to do this without losing your deposit as long as the amended booking is for the same duration of stay and re-arranged more than 14 days prior to arrival and the new stay dates fall up to and inclusive of 31st October 2020.  Amendments of a lesser stay duration and will be classed as a cancellation/curtailment and subject to our cancellation/curtailment policy. Amendments are also subject to availability of accommodation,  and are not guaranteed, please speak to us via telephone to discuss.

If you cancel your booking less than 7 days prior to arrival, a charge will be made to your card equal to the full amount of your booking.  

Covid 19;

Please do not travel to us if you have symptoms of Coronavirus. Your stay can be transferred at no extra cost to you (up to and inclusive of 31st October 2020 - no transfer of dates are available after this time).  Please inform us as soon as possible if this is the case. 

If you are in the unfortunate position of being under government lockdown in your area due to a further outbreak of Covid-19 when you are booked to stay with us,  your booking and any monies paid can be transferred to a later date (up to 31st October 2020) at no extra cost to you.  Refunds will not be issued. 

If our area goes into lockdown when you are due to stay with us, your booking will be cancelled and refunded in full. 

 

Curtailment

Full payment of the balance due will be applicable if your stay is curtailed for any reason either during your stay, or by notification 7 days or less prior to arrival. In this event, the full balance is still required and will be charged to your card.  We therefore strongly advise that you take out a full, comprehensive travel insurance policy which will cover cancellation and/or curtailment for any unforseen circumstances.  

Covid-19;  In the event that our area of Cornwall goes into lockdown during your stay, you will be asked to leave and any nights accommodation not taken will be fully refunded to you. 

No Show

You are liable for the full amount of your booking if you do not arrive to check in to your accommodation.  Your credit or debit card will be charged for the full amount of your stay.  Please keep us updated if you are delayed past your arranged arrival time.

 If you paid your deposit by other means, an invoice or payment link will be issued to you, by email or post, which must be paid in full within 7 days.

Check in & Check Out

Check in is from 3pm to 6pm. A provisional arrival time will be arranged with us upon booking. Please notify us if you are likely to be later than your pre-arranged arrival time as we are staggering check-in's in order to adhere to social distancing.  If you arrive at the same time as other guests, you will be asked to wait outside until your check in turn. 

Please ask if you require a later check in time.  We will endevour to fulfill all reasonable requests but this cannot be guaranteed - therefore please contact us regarding this PRIOR TO BOOKING. Rooms are to be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure. We are unable to offer late check outs.

Please inform us if any breakages or damages occur during your stay.  We reserve the right to charge your card to replace/repair any items damaged.  We also reserve the right to charge for any items removed from the B&B without our permission.  

Smoking & Vaping

Wyvern House has a strict No Smoking & No Vaping policy. You are welcome to smoke/vape in the front garden of Wyvern House where a sand filled pot is placed for your convenience.

Guests

 

We welcome couples, lone travellers and family groups with children aged 14 and over.  We are unfortunately unable to accommodate children under the age of 14. Maximum occupancy per room is 2 people. We are unable to supply extra beds in our rooms.

Please note that under the current government guidelines,  we do not allow any guest's visitors into Wyvern House at any time.   Please arrange to meet family and friends in the garden of Wyvern House. Thank you.

Due to the relaxing atmosphere we have created at Wyvern, we are also unable to accommodate groups of young peopleHen, Stag, or groups of same-sex parties.  We ask all guests to respect our quiet hours of 11pm to 8am and consider other guests staying at our property. 

Car Parking

There is free,  unrestricted car parking along Downs View and the adjoining side streets.  Spaces along the road cannot be reserved nor are they guaranteed.  Unfortunately, we do not have private, off road car parking at Wyvern House. 

Cars are parked at owners risk and we will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or their contents during your stay.
